Featured Case Study

Swanson Communications handles all public relations efforts and acts as the North American contact for all marketing and advertising inquiries for Icelink Watch, an international luxury timepiece and jewelry items manufacturer with offices in Geneva, Switzerland and Los Angeles, Calif. With the agency’s efforts, Icelink Watch has developed into a leading brand, attracting celebrities and athletes alike.

Icelink Watch’s name, logo, and products have been seen in top consumer and trade magazines, as well as top newspapers around the country. In recent years, ESPN Hollywood did a behind-the-scenes story of the Icelink Watch Los Angeles headquarters and factory.

Feature stories on their national charity campaign efforts ran in USA Today, ESPN.com and local media outlets in the 10-city where the campaign took place.  In addition, publicity was generated by the agency for the brand when then USC Football Stars Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart wore Icelink Watch products to the 2006 NFL Draft. Icelink Watch has seen sustained exposure and results from national, international and local media sources.

Icelink’s Charity-Links Bracelet Campaign

In Spring 2006, Swanson Communications created, developed and implemented a 10-month, 10-city, national charity campaign for Icelink Watch, based on the 10 colors that make up their bicycle bracelet line.  The agency researched and selected 10 different charities based on their strength and ties to the 10 communities chosen for the campaign. This generated donations for the charities and an increased brand awareness for the company. Solely responsible for the creation of the campaign name, design and schedule, the agency also set up and managed the local events, securing locations, local jeweler and charity participation, as well as securing celebrity and athlete participation. Some of the recognizable names that help efforts included: recording artist Xzibit, Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo, current and former NFL stars Michael Strahan, Willis McGahee, Carnell “Cadillac” Williams, Chris Chambers, Kevan Barlow, and NBA stars Rasheed Wallace and Juwan Howard.
