PERSONALITY AWARENESS
Swanson Communications excels in athlete representation and works with top
flight athletes whose names are synonymous with sports. Our objective is to
enhance the public perception of athletes, and thereby increase corporate
awareness for future endorsement considerations. Our client roster has
included Riddick Bowe, Dan Jansen, Sammy Sosa, and several Olympic
medalists.

Communication has executed publicity and out-reach tours for athletes,
and knows that on and off-season public relations aids in securing
sponsorship deals.

is to "marry" athletes with major corporations.

EVENT MANAGEMENT/ PROMOTION
Swanson Communications has been retained to organize and manage community
sporting events and fundraisers. We also facilitate press operations for
major sporting events. This includes internationally televised events
attended by more than 800 media members, including internationally
televised rights holders, broadcast news crews, and print journalists. We
have managed press operations for several major sporting events including
HBO Championship Boxing.
Immediately
following the 1996 Olympics, Swanson Communications geared up for the 1997
CARRIBEAN GYMNASTICS TOUR with Olympic Silver medalist Jair Lynch, and
seven other nationally ranked gymnasts. The company created, managed and
sold the innovative idea to the Government of Trinidad and major U.S.
sponsors. Gymnasts conducted training clinics that reached more than 7,000
children of the island.
RACE
AGAINST RACISM, a 5k race sponsored by the D.C Recreation Wish List
Committee received our public relations and on-site management support. We
mobilized more than 50 volunteer staffers from Washington, DC
colleges, high schools, and churches. More than 400 people participated in
this well-publicized event.
SPONSORSHIP SUPPORT
We are constantly watching the marketplace for trends and targeting the
right sponsors for our clients. We don't waste paper, time, or money
aimlessly blanketing the corporate world with untargeted mail campaigns. We
know that enlisting corporate sponsorship for grassroots programs and
sporting events is crucial.
HEART TO
HART TENNIS EXPERIENCE:
For the 5th Annual Heart to Hart Tennis Experience, an innovative
match-up of adult and youth tennis players, Swanson Communications
raised more than $30,000 for this local community event through corporate
sponsorship and personal contributions. The company also managed the event.
WOMEN'S
SPORT FOUNDATION SUMMIT '99:
With the rise in access and interest in women's sports, Swanson
Communications positioned itself to assist in promoting the growth
trend by helping to ensure the success of the Women's Sports Foundation
Summit '99. Cost-free, Swanson Communications has contributed
public relations services and solicited sponsorship sales for this Washington, DC
conference.
PRO
BALLROOM BOXING:
Swanson Communications solicits sponsorship support for Pro Ballroom
Boxing, a local boxing series broadcast on Home Team Sports (HTS) that
caters to sell-out crowds five-times a year. TOYOTA,
BUDWEISER, and Baltimore's
CLASSIC ROCK 104.5 sponsor the affair.
HAMPTON INTERNATIONAL
GAMES:
The Hampton International Games committee in Trinidad and Tobago
contacted Swanson Communications to solicit athlete participation
and sponsorship support for the 24th annual track and field event. We not
only secured the participation of track stars Ato Bolden and Maurice
Greene, AMERICAN AIRLINES and INN COGEN provided financial backing.
